WELCOME TO BIG PICKLES
We offer before and after school care at both Branston Infant Academy and Branston Junior Academy. Providing fun, supportive and creative environments for your children.
ACTIVITES
We offer a wide range of resources and activities for children to take part in and follow children’s interests closely. Wherever possible we encourage outdoor play, using areas within the school grounds. We run a gardening club at both sites, and grow our own vegetables and flowers. We try to enhance our environment for the wildlife which we love to explore!
SNACKS INCLUDED
At Big Pickles, we follow a healthy eating policy. Breakfast will be offered to children attending our morning session (including cereals, fruit and yoghurt). During the afternoon we provide a variety of lighter foods which help keep hunger at bay until dinner time. Drinks and fruit are supplied throughout the session.
SUPPORT
We are always happy to support children with their homework and enjoy taking time to listen to them read. We understand that after a full day at school, children may prefer to relax at home and may not always feel motivated to read or write. At the club, we gently encourage short, manageable reading and writing opportunities a couple of times each week, helping build confidence in a relaxed environment.
We also work closely with both schools, so if any additional needs or support are identified, we are well placed to work alongside them to support your child.

Little (and Big) Pickles is a not-for-profit charity. Any money we make goes towards the cost of running the centres as well as improvements that directly benefit our children. Our childcare centres therefore wouldn’t exist without our team of trustees and we need you!
Becoming a trustee is incredibly rewarding; you can help to make everything we do possible, as well as meeting new people in your area, volunteering as much, or as little time as you want.
